Friday

Home sweet Home...

So glad my dentist was waiting for me...how his soft latex'd fingers caress my jaw and wipe the drool ever so gently...he knows how to numb with triple doses...I will think of him when I'm 80 and still have some teeth standing...I am his for the next three crowns...I will pay forever...*n

Monday

Oh Boy, 6 hours, no Movie, no food and Middleseat...

I so wish for my cozy comfy frontseat and the unicorn pillow... instead it's elbows and kneecaps to the seat in front...I'll keep the attendant light on...more libation...

*n

Sunday

Nila texting anna texting Nila-anna

What the?! Just passing time till we roll on to the plane to take us home... And sleep for six hours or watch a cheesy movie

Blogging tutorials...how to send evidence pictures...*n

UNO and booze - anna

Celebrating end of tour with libation, salad, and pizza... Just sippin the Sunday and waiting for the plane with Nila

Drive back has arrived...

Clem and Jim just left to go crosscountry for days...Anna and I are in a bar, 3 hours till airport, what's a girl to do? Blue Moon and Pizza? That'll do...*n

Saturday

Fodera...

I love them. They make art. They are my adoptive dads, cherished by one who's on her own..this whole trip has been down memory (or lack there of) lane, but taking the train out to Brooklyn and walking up the stairs to the shop has brought me back to the real NYC times...there are stickers where I put them up, just more wooddust...Vinny and Joey, they make future Stradivaris...

Friday

Night of the Glens...

And Glenlivet yum and Glenkinchie 10...3 hour sets rock...I really got in that zone, but I have to say that it is rather interesting that there are Insulin syringe receptacles every where...hmmm, gaming gives you diabetes? Well, the sound of hundreds of those klanky machines give me the headaches...

*n

Playing 3 hours tonight, yes Ma'am...

As much as Casino floors make me dizzy...sipping excellent Glenmorangie in the High Roller Lounge does settle down the unease...

*n

Kombucha tour...

We should really be sponsored by Synergy Tea as much as we gobble that bubbely down...but it does something...I'm starting to almost function again after the NYC Bonanza? Whirlwind? Extranaganza? Retrospective? Wachamacallit? I have no words yet...let me nap on that.

Thursday

AND

...I had 4 slices of rockin' Pizza today...

*n

I-Tango

We danced on woodfloor between soundchecks, connected by what this is and two headphones in a splitter to my phone...he curled his hand towards me like the love I felt way back for the first time and probably eternal in some sort.

I will remember smiling...and the fading memory of hurt.

Tech 21 and Pete, the lighting Wizard...

made my night. Lloyd could just tell on the phone what was wrong with my preamp and I was able to fix it right there, such a lovely gent. The lights felt so good it was like bathing in red and purple with a slight mist...ahhhh...what a difference it makes to rock in a peasant environment. White bright light: bad for Mojo...I mean there is a reason for candles and romance, no?

Doused and confused...gret

Be ye warned naive NYC ass grabbers: Gretchen's reflexes are quick; her arm is strong; her aim is accurate; her tea is hot.

Feet on ice, biggest grin...

...two Dance Halls later it is 4am in NYC...what a night...walking from 41st street to the village and crosstown twice...dancing...dancing...dancing...autsch...yep, toes are done for tonight...let's play a rockshow then, that'll help...funny moment with the bartender, I walked in with my way too big, horned Zepparella Hoodie and baggy shorts (best attire for latenight lone walking), went to the powder room to change, came out in purple fishnets, hair up, touch of eyeliner and a skirt, ready to put on my shoes (best attire to dance close embrace)...she stopped and looked at me and said in a lovely accent: Cheeez Honey, you are two women...guess she's right...well, we are going to bed now...*n

Wednesday

I OXO NYC...

...dancing all night and after a wonderful day walking...more dancing...this one on the hudson river pier 45...woodplanks with gaps...but who cares...met a delightful German dancer, fresh arival, like me...two more places this night...gotta pace myself...ahhhh not...

*n

Tuesday

There it is there it is!!! NYC skyline...nothing like it, still. *n

...the phrase "Are we there yet?" is at this point rather frowned upon...*n

Dance Butterflies in full force!

I just got the recommendations for NYC...I can barely breathe I am so ready to go out tonight AND tomorrow...what a treat to have 2 nights off in that beloved X- town of mine...I heard they dance quite well here...so so excited...*n

Monday

Attention! Update from the Garmin GPS: we are about to turn after 2853 miles on the I-80...hells yeah *n

...Jim is caressing the overhead cabinets he build covered in walnut veneer from 1950... everyone bonked their heads on them, now he covered and cushioned the corners...that's the kinda guy he is... *n

...and we're still driving...Yellow Moon out there, Blue Moon in here...I so wish I could read in the car, but there's not enough ginger to eat to stop the carsickness...txt to blog on this tiny keyboard works for a minute and then I have to look up...I could be so booksmart by now...all those years in the frontseat...day dreaming in here...sigh *n

Oh Boy...Iowa City...H.O.T.

According to the TM, Jim, the van is now officially awesome due to the Undergarments hanging around, drying. That was one fun and sweaty show, I am starting to remember things from our touring with Bottom the closer we get to our old home town NYC, on reason I love my phone is the things I can write on the spot, send and actually have a record later. So many memories have been lost while living in the van and really having no break from playing...postcards I sent to my Mom are some of the only archive I have from all that travel, oh well...now 12 hours to Ohio...*n

Sunday

Omaha...food stop...delightful company! Flower eatin'

It looks so much like the A1 zwischen Hamburg und Lübeck...I am homesick for the past...nothing better than a German summerday at the lake naked...if we did get sun, it mostly rained. *n

When the days get short...

...and the northern light plays with my mind sometimes I wonder if it's true...that the skys are really full of wine, and then I picture, how it all would feel if it would rain on me some day...I walk the hedge and jump the mile and live my life like it was going out of style and I would loose myself it that was what it took... to make it all worthwhile...you know I tell myself if I could trya gain I wouldn't change a thing and laugh at all...mistakes, regrets and everything...and then I miss you and the things we used to do, and I smile a little while...cause I walk the hedge and jump a mile...

Hey...

Saturday

On I-76 going East into a rainbow and black clouds...

...Independence Day...we drove out from the Festival next to a riverwaterfall, crashed into wholefoods and the liquor sto' getting party supplies...popped a cork to celebrate our new found freedom and the believe in the good in people after all, Jim not only drives us in a superior vehicle...he is now the head of the 4bodied turtle...pouring rain, some fireworks here and there far...another accident with death...Nebraska coming up...Summerland for ever... *n

...rain rain rain rain...

...sitting on Stage overlooking the mountains and lake, all gear is packed in Tarps, waiting for the Thunderstorm to pass...rainsong on the PA...thankfully the wind dispersed the poop smell from the nearby sanitation plant... *n

Friday

Cream'n'lotion

Pizza and Blue Moon next door, Canopy beds, gotta love this Hotel! It is interesting what becomes important on the road...daily spinach, enough creamer for the in room coffee...lotion, yeah that's how one knows about the economy, no more lotion in the bathrooms, I have to sneak out to the cleaner cart to score some...smell, I still have the cowlike odor from 2 nights ago on my bass strap, yuck, what is up with clubs never being cleaned? I had white soles on my shoes before the gooey carpet, now they are black...ahhhh roggn'rool and all it's joy's. I had a dream about rain on gear and tarps ala Elko-gig, hope that does not mean anything for today's festival. *n

Food oh food, see Gretchen scarfing...

After 39 minutes of gazing at several empty tables, we now understand why this lovely establishment is called Waitacourse by the knowing...but oh the food is worthy....several mixups later: I also see now why the wait staff in the good food places is interestingly pierced and tattooed, so there's something to look at while succumbing to low blood sugar...and they are so hip and pretty as to soothe the bumps and scrapes obtained sliding under the table from starvation... *n

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzz

...ahhh one more hour on this heavenly mattress...clouds couldn't be fluffier...I am sure that and a night of rock made my missbehaving neck move again...if now the altitude would please stop ballooning my toes! *n

Thursday

Att vs Tmobile 0:1

That settles it then, Clem got to call the Radio station from my G1 with signal...the Iphone sure is prettier and slimmer, but my Android got my back in the middle of now where, Highway 80, lot's of grass. Received the Dazed video from River Ranch last week, looks great, all 4 thumbs up has never happened before...all that without leaving the van...Raining in Denver...I'm dazed. *n

Crack watch...

Big coffee, big sky, rev'd up to do 7 hours more of not a whole lot but observe the windshield crack traveling much slower than us across (or hopefully not)...it started yesterday, went up from the right lower corner, then turned left and this morning, I am happy to report, slightly down...I don't think I can bear the suspense... *n

Wednesday

Donner Pass...we all know the story?

Hmmmmmm, I think I would eat Anna first, her arms look like they'd be yummy with some Austin Stubbs BBQ sauce...harr...I don't think I could wrestle her down though, that girl is freakishly strong

14 hour drive today to the Hotel in Wyoming...

Tomorrow 7 to Denver, just found out that the Oriental Theater has closed and our show has been moved...too bad I liked that venue a lot...Scott had chocolate covered Strawberries, Roses and Dom sent for Valentines day...that was wonderful...Ladies, he's amazing...
